We are a diverse training group with a
variety of experience in the sport of Schutzhund. While Schutzhund is
a sport originally created with the German Shepherd Dog in mind, many
different breeds excel and compete in the sport today. We welcome all
working dogs and emphasize that sound temperament and good working drives
are the tools necessary to train and compete in Schutzhund.

At CMSA we emphasize the fact that Schutzhund
is a three phase sport, involving tracking, obedience, and protection.
We expect all our members to actively pursue progress in each of the
three phases. We encourage our members to track as a club at
least once a month and do both obedience and protection at our bi-weekly
training sesssions.
Schutzhund is our hobby. We participate
in this demanding sport because we love it! We have a family-like atmosphere
and encourage constructive criticism and sincere praise both on and
off the field. We pride ourselves in having good communication and problem
solving skills and work as a team in helping each other progress.
